Southeast Missouri State University Rankings

Founded in 1873, Southeast Missouri State University is a comprehensive, regional university offering a wide variety of courses and programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Southeast Missouri State University is fully accredited by North Central Association of colleges and Schools. The Communication Disorders Program is accredited through the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The Nursing Program within the College of Health and Human Services is nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The Social Work Program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The Donald L. Harrison College of Business is nationally accredited by the AACSB International. The American Chemical Society (ACS) certifies Southeast’s Chemistry Program.


- The Princeton Review selected Southeast as one of 152 institutions it profiles in its “Best in the Midwest” section of the “2011 Best Colleges: Region by Region”.

- Southeast Missouri State University is listed in the top tier of best master’s degree-granting institutions in the Midwest in the 2011 edition of Best Colleges by U.S. News. The rankings are based on data gathered from participating colleges for 16 widely accepted indicators of excellence. Among the many factors weighed in determining the rankings, the key measures of quality are: peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

- Southeast Missouri State University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. It was featured in the 2011 edition of the book, "The Best 300 Business Schools".

- has ranked Southeast Missouri State University  No. 1 in affordability overall for its online MBA with a general emphasis. It is one of seven new AACSB-accredited business schools added to their 2010 online MBA affordability rankings.

Heriot-Watt named International University of the Year

Heriot-Watt University was named International University of the Year by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018. The University was also ranked joint 11th in the UK and joint 1st in Scotland for graduate salaries 6 months after graduation.

Overall, Heriot-Watt was ranked 39th out of 129 institutions in the UK and 5th in Scotland. In the individual subject tables, it was ranked in the UK top 10 for five subjects: Building at third place, Chemical Engineering at fifth place and General Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Town & Country Planning at eight place.

The University has three subjects ranked 1st in Scotland: Building, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Furthermore, Heriot-Watt entered the Academic Ranking of World Universities top 500 universities in 2017, and was also placed in the top 400 universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
