UK University Rankings 2018

According to the Complete University Guide 2018, Cambridge was ranked 1st in the UK, followed by the University of Oxford in 2nd place and St Andrews in 3rd place.

University College London (UCL) has risen three places (from 10th to 7th) in The Complete University Guide’s main league table for 2018. And, in the subject-specific tables UCL is in the top ten in 31 of the 37 subjects that it teaches.

The University of Leeds has climbed two places and retains its position in the top 20 (ranked 14th) in the 2018 Complete University Guide. In addition, Leeds featured in the top ten universities across 22 different subjects.

The University of Dundee has also risen six places in the Complete University Guide league table and now sits 29th in the UK in the 2018 rankings. And, Dundee features in the UK’s Top Ten for six of the subjects it teaches in this year’s guide.

Swansea University remains a top Welsh institution after climbing one place to 44th in the UK and is one of only three universities in Wales improving on last year’s position.

The University of West London (UWL) has achieved the biggest rise of any UK higher education institution in The Complete University Guide 2018, climbing 26 places to 80th position this year.

Top Engineering Schools 2018

Massachusetts Institute of Technology was ranked 1st in the nation among the Top Engineering Schools as ranked by the 2018 U.S. News and World Report, followed by Stanford University in 2nd place.

The Georgia Tech College of Engineering was ranked No. 7 overall and No. 3 among public institutions in the latest graduate school rankings from U.S. News and World Report. In addition, all 11 of the programs within the college are ranked in the top 10, including: Industrial Engineering (No. 1), Aerospace Engineering (No. 2), Civil Engineering (No. 2), Biomedical and Bioengineering (No. 3), Computer Engineering (No. 5), Electrical Engineering (No. 6), Mechanical Engineering (No. 6), Chemical Engineering (No. 6), Environmental Engineering (No. 7), Materials Engineering (No. 8), and Nuclear Engineering (No. 9).

The UC Davis College of Engineering was ranked among the nation’s top public graduate engineering schools, according to the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings of America’s Best Colleges. It was placed 20th among public institutions and 34th – tied with Boston University – among both public and private institutions.

Colorado State University’s engineering graduate programs were ranked No. 67 in the nation, a jump of four spots from No. 71 in last year’s ranking. Additionally, U.S. News also ranked several of CSU’s engineering specializations in the top 100 across the nation, including: chemical (63), civil (40), environmental (36), electrical (65), computer (64), mechanical (69) and biomedical (68).
